Family Ties November 13-19, 2006
Dear Family,
This has been a great "Family Week". One big event was held Saturday when Jeff and Natalie were married in the Salt Lake Temple. An Open House was held for them Thursday night in St. George and from all reports was a special event(wish we could have been there). Their sealing took place Saturday at 3:40p.m. and your father was honored to again seal another grandchild to their eternal companion. Pictures were taken on a rather chilly afternoon and a pre-reception dinner was provided for a large number of guests. The dinner barely finished when guests began to arrive for the reception. The program was excellent as was the dinner. A break in tradition from all we can remember was that the bride sang a love song to her new husband. In all past memories, the groom has taken this roll. Natalie portrayed a beautiful singing talent. We are so happy to welcome this lovely "grandchild" into the family. We send our sincere compliments to Susan for her excellent and talented preperations with the three marriages in their family these past three months. Each one excelled in the bride's theme for their "dream reception".
Adding to the joy of this occasion was the arrival of our newest great granddaughter whose parents are Trevor and Lisa Willey. Ann had left early enough to be in time for her granddaughters arrival. Of course, Adam and Anna were happy to greet their new little sister. Dan will join this happy family for Thanksgiving. Also from Dan's family came the announcement that Liz and Steve are expecting their first baby come spring.
The latest news from the Thomas family came from Tylers Mission President Farnsworth that Tyler has been called as a Zone Leader with praise from his president as being an excellent missionary. Tylers are in New York for Thanksgiving vacation and will join all of Jeff's family for the big Thanksgiving feast.
We have added confidence of moving up and down the mountain with the purchase of a set of studded snow tires. They will enable us to travel freely in the holidays. We are pleased that Jinsook, our Korean friend at the Y, will be joining us for Thanksgiving to be spent with David & Jan's family. Jinsook will also be spending time here at the cabin before we serve our shift at the temple on Saturday.
Just received word that your cousin Kyle and Debbie's son Adam, has been selected to participate on the television show "Do You Want to be a Millionaire" next spring. We will let you know the exact date, that will be fun to watch.
We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday with the knowledge that each of you have reason to be thankful at this time.
