HEART AND SEOUL January 29 - February 5, 2006

HEART

Dear Family,
As you are all aware by now, the news of the newest family member arrived January 29th and enjoys the name of Holly Jane Ferguson. Welcome to the family baby Holly Jane, you are a beautiful baby!.
To bring you up to date in our extended families, we report the following: After returning from their trip to San Diego for the blessing of Grace, Dan and Ann report the attendance of your Uncle Jerry/Edith, as well as your cousins Scot and Michelle who took time to attend this event. Jerry also reported their intent to submit their papers for a fourth mission in the early spring. Your Uncle Craig has been employed for several weeks by an advertising company where he helps install signs. He has been required to travel from San Diego to most recently Alaska. Their son, Casey, married this past summer. Their daughter, Kerri lives in Idaho Falls and Kelly still lives close to her parents.
Your Aunt Lily, was blessed to travel with all of her children and spouses to San Diego this past week. One of the highlights of their trip was a dinner invitation by Kathleen/Clark and family in their new home. Observed by all was the tastefully, well planned home they had built since returning to California from the East coast. Also, the gracious hosts the Wardles were in making them feel the importance of family. Kathleen reported her father was doing well. We would appreciate if sometime you might visit him in the rest home and report your perspective.
Hopefully by now you all are aware that Karen is the chairmen of the Henry Freeman Cook reunion to be held in Cove Fort in July. We look forward to it, and hope you will also set time aside to attend.

SEOUL

Our friend and fellow missionaries, Elder Richard & Sister Becky Farnsworth, brought and interesting investigator to the church two weeks ago. They met him on Christmas Day on the subway. His name is Gilbert Kabongo from the nation of Congo in Central Africa. He is a distinquished looking middle age man as black as a shoe and teaches French in a major University in Seoul. He has been here four and one half years forcing his separation from wife and eight children. He hopes to have his wife join him sometime this month. His children are mostly raised but he has a deep feeling for them. He reported that he has been arising at 4a.m., studying and pondering the bible and praying for answers to his questions about his life. Today at church, it was reported that he is taking the discussions from the missionaries and that he is so far, a golden contact. We couldn't help observe the tears falling during Testimony meeting. We will let you know if he gets converted.
Our week has been good at the temple and the weather has been colder than anytime since we have been here for the past four days. since we have been here.
