Family Ties March 25 - April 1, 2007

Dear Family,

Today was your dad's birthday and he was so pleased with your generous remembrances and loving words. Among other things, he was given a lovely dinner with a big birthday cake.
Conference weekend is always special and we were more than usual uplifted with the messages from the brethren. It brings a wonderful spirit into our home and a resolve for us to do better.

It has been a great week to hear of two more babies to born this year. Both Melissa and Julie have announced the expectation of their babies this coming fall. Along with Liz and Jenny brings a total of four that we know of. What an interesting year ahead. Your mother braved the snowy weather to drive down to Bountiful for LIz's shower given by Tommi and Jen. She enjoyed being in the company of family and friends of Liz...especially was she happy to see Tommi and Gracie. Her return last night was wise since it snowed over twelve inches that night and next day, but she was sorry to have missed those of the family who were delayed getting to the shower because of the stormy weather and slow traffic.

We have been quite concerned over the health of your cousin, Wayne Petersen, who experienced a bout with blood clots. Even though Eileen reported today that he is progressing, we suggest you remember him in your family prayers.

Being "snowed in" this past week, has been a mixed blessing as we have been able to concentrate our time on our heritage book. The beauty and serenity have been condusive to our writings.
