HEART June 11 - June 26, 2006

The writing of this blog, ends our weekly "Heart & Seoul" entries. Now comes the challenge to keep life as interesting as has been the past eighteen months or even the past ten years. From all indications, the upcoming events in the lives of family members, "interesting" is an under statement.
Most immediate will be your parents return home and giving their mission report in Sacrament meeting June 25---then the wedding of Curtis & Desiree June 29. On the first Sunday in July, Matt & Debbie will be blessing Gavin Harold Hymas where for the first time there will be four generation of Hymas males. The Fourth of July will be celebrated by most family members in their own family settings. The Cook family reunion will be held July 15th at Cedar Fort and you should all have full information on this. Your Aunt Lily will have spent much of the time with us before she returns home following that reunion.
We are hosting a social for friends we have made here in Korea on July 19 or 20th. There will be fifteen or twenty former missionaries or branch members.
We anticipate a trip to Fort Collins assisting Nancy & Jeff in their move to Portland, Maine. The decision has been made and the move will take place about the middle of August. Prior to that move they with their children will fly to Portland to seek housing. It appears that the Thurgoods, who you may remember from our cruise, will be purchasing their home, relieving them of a major concern. Since our cruise, Brother Thurgood has also become their bishop. Opportunity wise, as well as financially, this will be a great move for Jeff, Nancy and family and even though Idexx pays for the moving, the packing will be done by them. What began as an already busy summer has escalated to where there won't even be time for them to come to Utah, hence our need to go to Fort Collins.
We see many trips to the Salt Lake and Utah Valley's, to the market and Home Depot. (How your father has missed Home Depot).
Though we are farther away from home than ever before in our lives, it has seemed closer because of our computer and internet. Which, along with our digital camera, has drawn us on a weekly visit to our family and friends. Thanks again to all of you for your generous gifts.

SEOUL

Yeoni Kim, who we befriended this past year, came to the temple yesterday to receive her endowments. She worked hard and sacrificed convenience to be able to come before we left for home. She left a gift of Korean slippers and souveniers and it was a tearful parting, as were many of our last day goodbye's this past week. So many gifts were given we hardly know what to do with them. President Lee and his wife have been so complimentary of our time here and will be driving us to the airport Tuesday.
We taught our last temple preparation class today and both spoke in sacrament meeting. The spirit was so strong that the usual disruptive commotion that we have come to expect and endure, was completely absent. Following Sacrament meeting we participated in the baptism of a special little friend named Madison (Mattie) Seeley who turned eight years of age this very day. They are the family who purchased a summer home in Timberlakes and plan on being at our homecoming Sunday. Hopefully some of you will get to meet them.
